NOSTALGIA

A feeling I cannot explain
sometimes it brings me pain
giving much time to it seems vain
but i would never ignore its gain

As a source of re-inspiration
or as a form of momentary retardation
which serves as a caution
to my precarious motivation

How candid my insanity becomes
then I ignore my heartfelt reforms
and I am tortured by its worms
so I retreat from the norms

A mixed memory of my beloved
a feeling that cannot be dissolved
despite my many resolves
it may or may not be love.

...and I look

This life could be so ironic,
Whenever I sit and look around
I always find something new and thrilling.
There are a whole lot of new things in this old world;
There are a lot of untapped ideas in clichés;
There are many outstanding features in your boring self.
All you need to do is to look!
Not just to see without seeing,
But to look with that third ‘’special’’ eye.
And then you will know how extensive the gap between blindness and the ability to see is.

Then I look again,
This time around with deeper thoughts.
And I notice how people misuse their God-given talents.
The topmost detective and the deadliest serial killer have one talent in common;
The best motivator and the most deceitful person share a gift;
The leaders of institutions and the leaders of cults are not exempted here.
Get two books of the same size,
Wrap one with White and the other with Black
Representing Good and Evil respectively
Then place side by side.
You would notice that despite how big or how small they are;
Just a thin line separates them.
It all depends on who you allow to use you.

But I believe also that ‘’you will be nothing but a pencil in the hand of the devil if you allow him to use you’’.
